ACCOMODATION
Four share accommodation will be provided in the colleague Accommodation for the duration of the contract.
5.
MEALS
Three meals per day will be provided for the
“Seasonal
Commis
”
in colleague cafeteria.
6.
RELOCATION
For the purpose of this agreement your point of hire shall be

.
To enable you to commence employment in InterContinental
Maldives Maamunagau Resort, domestic
flight/transfer from your point of hire to the resort will be provided and a domestic flight/transfer will be provided
to your point of hire upon completion of the contract.
Should you decide to leave before end of the six (06)
months contract, the full amount of airfare will be
recovered.
7.
BUSINESS VISA / WORK PERMIT
The Company shall pay all expenses incidental to the application and maintenance of the permit, e.g., fees, fines.
You are required to provide the Company with the relevant personal documents necessary for
this application
and ensure your passport remains valid for at least one year from the date of submission.
8.
TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
1.
Either party may terminate the term of employment specifies in clause 4 with or without cause by giving to the
other party 14 days of working notice in writing.
You will be required to work out your period of notice. However, the company reserves the right to provide
you payment of basic salary in lieu of notice where it is considered that this is the best interest of the
company.

2.
The term of employment specified in clause 1 is automatically terminated without notice or payment in lieu of
notice:
(a)
At the end of the term specified in clause 1 unless extended in writing by the company.
3.
The company may terminate the term of employment specifies in clause #1
summarily without notice or
payment in lieu of notice if, after ‘due inquiry’ you have been found guilty of misconduct inconsisten
t with the
fulfilment of the expressed or implied terms and conditions of your employment or any wilful breach or non-
observance of any of the stipulated hotel rules on employees. The misconducts include though not limited to:
I.
If the
“Seasonal
Commis
”
is convicted of crime, which relates to breach of dignity, honesty or
public morals.
II.
If the
“Seasonal
Commis
”
is found intoxicated by alcohol during working hours.
III.
If the
“Seasonal
Commis
”
absents him/herself without leave for more than three (3) days during
the term hereof for more than three (3) Continuous days.
IV.
Being in material breach of fiduciary duty to the company through the misappropriation of or
failure to property account for funds and property; or
V.
Failing or neglecting to any material extend competently to discharge your duties hereunder or
wilful refuse without proper legal cause to materially perform or gross negligence in performing
your duties or responsibilities; or
VI.
Being guilty of serious misconduct or behaviour calculated or likely
to affect prejudicially the
interests of the company or likely to negatively affect the reputation of the Hotel; or be guilty of
a convicted criminal offence or any act of bankruptcy or arrangement or composition with your
creditors.
VII.
Should the
“Seasonal
Commis
”
terminate this contract prior to its expiry date, relocation
expenses become the
“Seasonal
Commis
”
own responsibility.
No payment shall be due to you for termination under sub-clause 2 and 3.
Upon termination of the contract herein however arising, the company shall have no further obligation towards
you, and you expressly waive your right to claim for damages or compensation by reason of termination except
those statutory rights to severance payments, if any, as granted by Maldives Labour law.
Upon completion of your contract, or should the company terminate your employment contract other than for
the reasons mention under sub-clauses 3 or provided not less than six 06 months service has been completed, the
company will reimburse your relocation expenses back to your point of hire.
All benefits arising from your employment cease to be available on termination of your employment.
9.
EMPLOYMENT OUTSIDE THE ORGANISATION
During your employment with the company, you are not to undertake any employment with any other company
or organization in Maldives or elsewhere.
10.
CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION AND LINE OF COMMUNICATION
You are not to release any information confidential to the company during or after your employment with the
company. Upon termination
of your employment, you shall surrender to the company all originals or copies of
business documents and all items belonging to the company. If the company so requires, you shall also surrender
such documents and items at any time during the term of your employment.
11.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
The company’s Employee handbook sets forth
-additional terms, conditions of this agreement, and the terms of the
Handbook shall and hereby incorporated herein, and you will be bound hereby. The company reserves the right
to amend the Handbook as maybe reasonably necessary and so long as you are not uniquely
adversely affected
thereby, you shall be bound by such amended terms.
In the event that you should seek to redress any grievance, relating to your employment (Including any grievance
arising from any decision) you should apply in writing to your immediate supervisor.
12.
AGREEMENT

This document shall serve as the employment agreement between you and the company and shall supersede and
terminate all prior agreements between you and the company with respect to the subject matter hereof, and may
not be modified except by an instrument in writing executed by both parties. Moreover, the
“Seasonal
Commis
”
agrees that she will not provide her professional services to any other resort/Hotel establishment or Business in
Maldives during the currency of the contract.
Any changes in these written conditions will be notifies to you in writing within 4 weeks of the change-taking
place.
The employment conditions that are not specified herein shall be governed by:
(a)
The Civil and commercial Code and Maldives
Labour Laws and regulations, as amended from Time to
Time; and
(b)
The employee Handbook of the Company and/or its owning company that presently exist and/or which
may from time to time be amended and/or announced by the company.
13.
MISCELLANEOUS
All other contractual
agreements are as per the signed “particulars of Employment”
are in effect.
The company accepts its rights and obligations as outlined in this document.
