I have used Personal (especially AUTOCAD, TOPDRAW and I-DEAS) and Macintosh Computers (especially Aldus, Chemdraw, Igor, Macdraw, Superpaint Kaildagraph and etc.) extensively and have operational expertise in analysis technique of surface science and solid state chemistry (e.g. SQUIDS, SEM, EDAX, XRD, VSM and other UHV techniques) and design for PESM and U5 Microscopy Beam Line at SRRC, Taiwan, Republic of China.


I have carried out work at the Synchrotron Radiation Source (SRS) (e.g. X-ray Absorption (EXAFS, NEXAFS or XANES), Resonant Photoemission and Angle Resolved Photoemission) at DRAL, Daresbury, Cheshire, UK and also Synchrotron Radiation Research Center, Taiwan, Republic of China.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

I was a house tutor in School, College and University level, Chittagong and Dhaka, Bangladesh.


I have organized social activities and events such as departmental dinners, picnics, seminars and sports tournaments. I was an executive member of the graduating ceremony in 1989 and also Assistant Editor of the souvenir magazine Anurunon in 1990.
I was foundation president of the Daudkandi Upazilla Student Society at Chittagong University, Chittagong, Bangladesh.
INTEREST AND HOBBIES
I enjoy Swimming, Badminton, Football, Chess, Cricket, Travelling and Kabadi. I also like to help disabled people. I have organized and cooked several meals for my research group at Department of Chemistry, University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, UK.
