Service description

Alkira Care Services (ACS) provides support options for children and adults with Multiple and Complex Disabilities and High Medical Needs that may require Technology or Procedures to support their wellbeing. To meet the level of care required, Individuals are supported by Registered Nurses and a team of Highly Skilled Support Workers.

Service Options are Person Centred, supporting individuals to achieve their goals, hopes and dreams. These include:

• 
  Services supporting the carer in the management of the medical needs of the Individual.
  
• 
  Facility Based Respite options for Individuals up to the age of 30 years
  
• 
  A Non-Funded bed for Emergency Respite only.
  
• 
  In-home, flexible services for Individuals up to the age of 30years
  
• 
  Transport to community activities and inclusion programs
  
• 
  Development of skills, support and direct care services to enable independence of individuals.
  
• 
  Access to Employment, Education, Recreation, and the Community.
