ANNOTATION
Base words : dictionary , speech, synonym, logic thinking, linguistic method basis, linguistic dictionary, explanation, meaning, inactive dictionary .
The object of the research work: the basics of creating an explanatory dictionary for students of the 5th grade were taken.
The purpose of the study:
- to reveal the role of the educational dictionary with synonyms in increasing students' vocabulary;
- comparison of the explanatory dictionary of synonyms and the educational dictionary of synonyms;
- to determine the age characteristics of the selection of material for the educational explanatory dictionary of synonyms for 5th graders ;
- improvement of the order of explanation of units in the educational explanatory dictionary of synonyms for 5th graders ;
Research methods. Methods such as reading, analyzing, comparing and summarizing the theoretical and methodical literature on the topic were used.
Newness of the research work : . The scientific novelty of the work consists of:

  The selection of material for explanatory dictionaries for 5th graders is based on taking into account the characteristics of the student's age;

  recommendations for newly created educational dictionaries are given by comparing explanatory vocabulary and educational vocabulary;
  

- the role of explanatory dictionaries in increasing students ' vocabulary is revealed;
The linguo-methodical features of creating tasks for 5th grade students to master unexplained and explained words are revealed ;


Practical importance : in our republic, along with many fields, special attention is paid to the research of practical issues in linguistics. Also, fundamental changes are being made in terms of increasing the position and prestige of the state language and improving the school education system. This work has theoretical and practical significance in this regard. In our country, in modern linguistics, as well as in all fields, the study of practical issues, along with theory, is gaining special importance. After all, fundamental changes are being made in terms of increasing the authoritative status of the state language and improving the school education system.
Level of implementation and economic efficiency: Conclusions and proposals made in the research process are recommended for use in the pedagogical training process.
