Today I went to the cinema with my parents to see “ The Lion K ing”. It was an animated

ate leaves from trees. They were over 5 meters tall. O f course, my favorite anim al was Simba, the
lion king. The songs were fantastic, too. Most of them were written by Elton John. M y favourite
song was “ H a k u n a M a ta ta ” . It means “ no worries” in the Swahili language in East Africa. It

Golf has been played for about hundreds of years. But no one is sure who invented it. Most
people believe that it was started in Scotland in the 12th century. Back then, shepherds who
looked after sheep often became bored. So they invented a game. They pushed stones into rabbit
holes with sticks. This game soon became popular throughout the country. Even the King of
Scotland started playing it. In the 17th century, golf was introduced to other countries such as
France, Germany and England. Nowadays, there are a lot of golf courses all around the world.
And 56 million people enjoy playing it. Golfers could enjoy natural beauty and fresh air. That
was very relaxing for people who lived in crowded cities. Besides, swinging made a golfer’s body
strong and healthy. In 2006, a Russian astronaut Michail Tiurin was the first person to take a
golf ball into space.

You probably think zero is just a regular number. But it was not like all other numbers.
First of all, it was invented much later. The numbers from 1 to 9 were invented thousands of
years ago. People used stones to count numbers in the past. But the number zero was only
created in the year 200 A.D. The idea of zero was difficult to understand. Before zero, people
used a space when they wrote one thousand six, like nothing between “ 1 _ _ 6”. Thanks to
zero, we can write one thousand six as “ 1,006” and can write large numbers clearly. It used to
be “ 1 _ 6” now it is “ 106”. That’s why, zero is a very important number now.
61. According to the text, which of the
following is true?
A) Zero was used with numbers after 200
A.D.
B) People couldn’t count anything before
zero.
C) The idea of zero was easy to
understand.
D) Stones weren’t related to numbers in the
past.
62. According to the passage, in what way does
zero differ from other numbers?
A) Zero and other numbers were introduced
at the same time.
B) Zero was similar to numbers from one to
nine.
C) Zero was introduced later than other
numbers.
D) Zero was created before numbers from
one to nine.
