Center for Scientific Innovations (CSİ)
The Centre for Scientific Innovations (CSI) is the organizations attached to 
Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). The center 
was founded in 2008. Farman Huseyn Qasimov is Chief Director of CSİ. Its goal 
is the analysis of scientific-research works, accumulation of advanced technology 
and  innovations  connected  with  the  development  of  the  fields  with  scientific 
capacity and establishment of the database. Main area of activity of the organization 
is  carrying  out  researches  of  the  leading  technologies  in  the  science  intensive 
fields in the foreign countries, also of the innovation technologies, which meet 
the last changes in the world economy during the globalization process; creating 
the information base in that field; studying the priority trends in the development 
of the leading countries; watching the development of the innovation process in 
Azerbaijan;  solving  the  problems  of  the  implantation  of  the  new  technologies.

Institute of Political Studies (IPS) at the Academy of Public    
Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan 
The  Institute  of  Political  Studies  at  the Academy  of  Public Administration 
under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established and registered 
on July 19, 2012.
The founder and current director of the Institute is professor Elman Nasirli.The

The main aim of Institute is study of current problems of domestic and foreign 
policy, particularly the theoretical and applied research on issues of regional security 
and international cooperation, preparation of research-based conceptual and analytical 
predictions  and  informative  materials  that  serve  the  interests  of  comprehensive 
development of Azerbaijan. 2 books, 15 articles were published by the Institute. 
The Laboratory of Sociological Investigations  
of the Baku State University 
  It  was  founded  and  registered  in  1989.  The  founders  are  the  Baku  State 
University  and  Faculty  of  Philosophy.  The  main  direction  of  activity  is  the 
“investigation of social problems of the education”. 5-year budget (2010-2014) is

historical demography of the Baku State University 
It was registered in 1994. The founder is the Faculty of History of the Baku 
State University. Director of the laboratory is the head of the Department of the 
history of Azerbaijan, associate profeesor Mehman Abdullayev. Scientific direction

The main aim of the institute is the urgent problems of Azerbaijan economy, 
and stable and balanced development problems as well, besides macro-economical 
regulation, acceleration of social and regional development, contemporary develop-
ment inclination and Azerbaijan geo-economical relation assessment , development 
of information technologies and formation problems of innovative economy, nation-
al and global economic development forecast and  social development conception 
and  functional field regional and municipal program preparation.At the moment 
scientific-organizational  structure  of  Economic  Investigation  Institute  consists  of 
departments listed below:

International Conflicts Research Center of Qafqaz University
It was established and registered on October 28, 2009. It was founded by the 
leadership of the Qafqaz University. The head of the Center is Jeyhun Mahmudlu. 
The main goal and commitments of the Center is to study international conflicts.
