Telecommunications Act
(2003)
The Telecommunications Act became effective on 20 August 2003. Hereby, the EU’s
regulatory framework on electronic communications was transposed into national law. The
Telecommunications Act (
Telekommunikationsgesetz
2003, TKG 2003) encompasses all five
relevant directives and will be amended in the future by implementing the Data Retention
Directive.
