Yesari who Lived in Sinop and Yesari's New Poems 
 
 
Abstract 
Born in Batumi, laid the foundation of Alevism in Sinop, Batumlu Yesari father who died in Sinop 
is an important Alevi-Bektashi poet. His real name is Mehmet. He combined his Kosma, Nefes 
with reeds; he has said a lot of poetry. He did not create a word of art from the poems he said but 
his poems have been included in the mecmua, which has not been forgotten and written as it has 
been repeated many times among the poets. For this reason, many poems of the poet named Yesari 
were encountered in the mecmua works. Many researchers have worked on this subject and these 
poems were published but there are poems called  Yesari nickname  which are still unknown  or 
newly discovered within the mecmuas. One of these magazines is registered at the number 170 in 
the collection of Suleymaniye Library Galata Mevlevihanesi. In this mecmua, 10 poems of Yesari 
are identified. Some of these poems were found in studies conducted in the name of Yesari but 6 
poems were not found in studies and these poems  were thought to have undetectable poems of 
the poet named Yesari nickname. These poems, which are not included in the academic studies 
and other studies, are compared with the poems which are in the studies performed in the name 
of  the  poet  and  as  a  result  of  comparison,  it  was  felt  that  the  poems  belonged  to  the  Batumlu 
Yesari. But always the mistakes that the compiler will make must be considered.

Öz 
Sinoplu Musa b. Menteşa b. Halil isimli âlimin el-Metâlibü’l-ilâhiyye adlı müstakil metin çalış-
ması, ona ait günümüze ulaşmış tek eserdir. Telif üslubuyla kaleme alınan eser, kütüphane kayıt-
larına göre üç kıymetli nüshasıyla birlikte günümüze ulaşmıştır. Bu bildirinin asıl hedefi anılan 
üç nadide el-yazma nüsha çerçevesinde eserin ana kaynaklarıyla olan kelamî bağlantısını kurmak 
ve  katkılarını  ortaya  koyarak  değerlendirmek  olacaktır.  Temelde  sekiz  ana  kelamî  problemi 
(metâlib) merkeze alan eser, derinlemesine incelenecek özgün yerlerine vurgu yapılacak, muhteva 
ve metoda yönelik getirdiği yeni yaklaşımlar kelam ilmi bağlamında mukayese edilecektir. Genel 
yöntem  olarak müellif, İslam akidesinin  ne  olduğunu veciz bir şekilde  ele almanın yanında ne 
olmadığını gösterecek tarzda farklı ekollerin görüşlerini gerektiği yerlerde eleştirileriyle birlikte 
vermiştir. Cem ve tahkik döneminin özelliklerini taşıyan eser, teorik meselelerden pratik ve gün-
delik sorunlara doğru sistematik bir düzene sahiptir. Her ana meselenin çözümlemesini alt baş-
lıklara ayırarak konuyu daha planlı sunmayı hedefleyen eser, konuların kısaca kanıtlarını verme-
nin ardından değişik zümredeki kişilerin görüşlerini özetle aktarmayı ihmal etmez, dahası konuyla 
ilgili gerekli  görülen yerlerde başka disiplinlerin (Tefsir, Siyer, Tarih)  kitaplarına  müracaat et-
meyi  salık  vermekten  geri  durmaz.  Müteahhirün  ve  mütekaddimün  kelam  birikimini  bir  araya 
toplayarak muhtasar hale getiren esere el-Fıkhu’l-ekber gibi erken dönem klasikler de kaynaklık 
etmektedir. O dönemde muhatap kitlenin gereksinimi hesaba katılarak konuların son kısmına yan-
lış anlamaların önüne geçebilmek adına uyarılar, ayrıca dikkat çekmek, kalıcılığı sağlayabilmek 
ve  önemli  noktaları  vurgulamak  amaçlı  tembihler  yerleştirilmiş  böylelikle  konuyu  daha  doğru 
anlamanın-anlatmanın seviyesi yükseltilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu değerli eser sadece yazılmakla kal-
mayıp somut verilerin bize sunduğu bilgilere göre Plevne şehrinde istinsah edilmiş, okunmuş ve 
okutulmuştur.

The Kalam Network of One of the Scholars of Sinop 
 
 
Abstarct 
The book “el-Metâlibü’l-ilâhiyye” of the scholar named Musa son of Menteşe son of Halil is the 
only constant text study that we have in our hands today. The book is written in the way of "Ta'lif" 
and is reached to our age with its precious three scripts according to the registration of library. 
The original target of this study is to create the connection of mentioned book with the original 
sources of Kalam in the frame of its three unseen manuscripts and to analyze its contribution. The 
book that has taken eight basic problems (Metâlib) of Kalam in its centered will be analyzed in 
depth and will be focused on its genuine places. Moreover, it will be compared its new approaches 
towards methods and contents in collaboration with Kalam. In general, the author has adopted the 
method  as  he  criticizes  the  thesis  of  different  schools  of  thoughts  in  necessary  places  also  he 
discussed  what  should  be  the  Islamic  faith  in  addition  with  what  should  not  be. The  book  that 
carries the properties of the compilation and investigation period, owns the systematic discipline 
from  theoretic  problems  towards  practical  and  current  affairs. The  book  that  targets  to  present 
every  main riddle by  dividing it  into subtitles in the very planned form, it does not  neglects to 
describe precisely the opinions of different scholars after discussing the brief proofs of that topic. 
Moreover, it also does not stops to advise to visit other disciplines like Tafsir, Siyer and History 
in the necessary places regarding the mention topic. The book that summaries the early and last 
scholars units by adding them in one platform, also makes the book of early age named “al-Fikhul 
Akber” as its source. It has settled the cautions targeting insists on important places and to support 
lasting, non-standing with attract of attention and warnings by participating the importance of the 
mass of that era in the account to prevent the miss understanding of the last parts of topics. In this 
manner  he  has  worked  to  understand  and  make  other  understand  the  topic  in  better  way.  This 
important book, according to the information reached us by concrete conclusions is not only re-
mained in its script form, rather it is also printed in the city of Plevne and is read and made read.
