Keizer traded under the name ‘Elco’. The Firm had been founded in 1817 and was active in the luxury liner market. This publicity item describes construction processes and has very nice illustrations of fittings in ocean liners, hotels, London shopfronts etc. Scarce and fascinating work.

Front inner hinge cracked else very nice copy with almost flawless images. £150.00

The images show very intricate parquet designs and are presented with great subtlety. All are named examples eg from the Hotel de Cluny, Fontainbleu, Versailles (Galerie des Batailles), Bibliotheque de l'Arsenal etc.

The Bergman insulating electrical system was applied in many important buildings, including casinos, hotels, railway stations, spas, synagogues, skyscrapers etc. This fine trade publicity item shows a great many of the buildings this firm had fitted out by 1900, together with some technical data. Numereous examples from Germany illustrated, as well as Scandinavia, Holland, Belgium, USA etc are illustrated. The American ones have named architects; these include Sullivan, Post, McKim, Mead & White, Kimball & Thompson etc. A beautiful item and very informative.

High quality work by this building firm in the City and elsewhere. Architects include Blomfield, Belcher, Detmar Blow, Newton etc. No expense seem to have been spared.
