Abstract:
 the article deals with the urgent problem of poverty reduction, since at the beginning of 
2020 the concept of poverty was considered for the first time in the history of Uzbekistan by the 
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and poverty reduction became the 
main priority of socio-economic policy. As the main conditions for achieving the goals set, the task 
of ensuring macroeconomic stability and sustainable economic growth at high rates is set. It is 
estimated that this will create the basis for Uzbekistan's entry into the top group of middle-income 
countries by 2030. The article presents the main directions in the fight against poverty in 
Uzbekistan.
