Woody perennial forming a bushy, weak stemmed aromatic shrub, 30–100 cm, the whole plant
with a dense white indumentum. Leaves simple, entire and sessile, linear lanceolate in outline.
Peduncle branched and bearing a compact drooping spike, 1.5–3 cm long. Bracts persistent,
almost papery, obovate to circular in outline, 0.75–1
