Telephone (1876)
Edinburghborn scientist Alexander Graham Bell patented his invention of the telephone in 1876. The following year, the great American inventor Thomas Edison produced the first working telephone. With telephones soon becoming rapidly available, the days of letter-writing became numbered.
Computer (20th Century)
The computer has been another life transforming invention. British mathematician Charles Babbage designed a form of computer in the mid1830s, but it was not until more than a century later that theory was put into practice. Now, a whole generation has grown up with calculators, windows, icons, computer games and word processors, and the Internet and e-mail have transformed communication and information.
Aeroplane
The plane was the invention that helped shrink the world and brought distant lands within easy reach of ordinary people. The invention of the petrol engine made flight feasible and the American Wright brothers made the first flight in 1903.
ince the beginning of time, man has innovated, created, and invented. This is the only way man has managed to survive and gradually develop into what they have become today. As their inventions began with ideas as simple as spears and even fire, the most recent inventions of today’s day and age have become very advanced and complex. Humans compose most of the more recent inventions of circuits and their components, which control the power source known as electricity, and use it to power the device. Technology is what humans classify these inventions as; whether electricity powers the tool or not, humans consider it as technology. These inventions were major steps forward for the human race; they were also unfortunately occurring between intervals of thousands of years from one another. While new inventions were occurring in much faster intervals, it was still an extremely slow process. Of course, this is because humans had to establish a base in order to build upon it. It makes sense that working from a base is easier than working from scratch, and therefore, more technological inventions began to appear over shorter periods of time. Each invention began to change and evolve society into a more convenient and healthy state. Eventually, technological enhancements and inventions began to come up every couple of centuries. Humans were inventing things like gunpowder, microscopes, and thermometers every hundred years or so. Then every few decades, they were creating new inventions, such as ideas like Newton’s three laws (1687), the piano (1700s), and steam engines (1712). (Woodford, 2008/2016). One of the greatest technological innovations of all time was the industrial revolution. According to an article on History.com, “In the 1700s, a series of innovations led to ever-increasing In the everyday routine of most humans, they use technological devices which make their lives easier and more convenient, but are not required in order for them to survive. Just a few examples of these types of technological devices are cell phones, computers, calculators, air conditioning, stoves, vehicles, refrigerators, etc. Without many of these things, everyday tasks and activities would be made much harder and more complicated. Technology has become essential components of today’s education system. Essentially, without today’s technology, students would not have the freedom they do now, and they would definitely not be as imaginative as they are today. As time goes on, technology has made things like calculating certain mathematical equations simply by punching them into calculators. As humans make things like this easier, productivity also increases as the workers are under less stress and can do many things much faster.
