Parameter - a value characterizing the properties or mode of operation of the object. 
Analysis of technical objects is the study of the properties of technical objects; in the analysis, new objects are 
not created, but the given objects are investigated. 
Synthesis of technical objects is aimed at creating new options. 
Structural optimization is a synthesis problem in which there is not any acceptable option among the structure 
options, but the best one in some sense. 
Parametric optimization is the calculation of internal parameters that are optimal from the position of a certain 
criterion for a given structure of the object. 
A mathematical model is a collection of mathematical objects (numbers, variables, vectors, sets, etc.) and 
relations between them, which adequately reflects some properties of the projected technical object. 
Functional design is a design stage that involves the mapping of the basic principles of functioning, the nature of 
the physical and information processes. 
Designing design - this design stage is associated with the implementation of the results of functional design, i.e. 
with the definition of geometric shapes of objects and their mutual arrangement. 
Technological design refers to the implementation of the results of design design, i.e. is connected with the 
description of methods and means of manufacturing objects. 
The design phase is part of the design process, which includes the formation of all required descriptions of the 
object. 
Project procedures are part of the design phase. 
An object design route is a sequence of steps and (or) project procedures used to design this object.

To read the diagram is the process of obtaining from the diagram the information necessary to perform a certain 
work in the design, installation, adjustment, operation and training.
