RUGBY

The rugby ball by rugby laws :
Rugby union is played with an oval-shaped ball.
All balls must be between 28 cm and 30 cm long (it’s between 11 to 13 inches).
The balls weight must be between 383 and 440 gm (it’s between 13.5 to 15.5 ounces)
Scoring point :
The aim of rugby is to attain more points than the opposition. this is often wiped out four different ways:
Try: the foremost valuable play is to attain a try, which suggests touching the ball down within the opponent’s in-goal area or on their line . Doing so is worth five points and earns that team the proper to aim a conversion kick.
Conversion Kick: This kick is worth a further two points. The conversion kick is taken from a spot in line with where the ball was originally grounded, so scoring as on the brink of the posts as possible is best.
Penalty Kick: Penalties for various infractions are often wont to take a kick at goal, which is worth three points.
Dropped Goal: A dropped goal, which occurs when the player drops the ball on the bottom then kicks it even as it bounces, is worth three points if it goes through the uprights.
If both teams score an equivalent amount of points, or no points are scored, then the match may be a draw. In some cases, overtime is played to make a decision who wins.
Common mistakes in rugby :
Offside in rugby : A player is offside in general play if he is in front of a teammate who is carrying the ball in the match. Or in front of a teammate who last played the ball. It’s also illegal to kick the ball to a teammate that’s down-field from the kicker.
Forward pass: An illegal pass to a player who is before the ball, a player isn’t allowed to pass the ball forward to a team-mate.
Knock on: If a player drops the ball ‘forward’, that’s towards the opposing team’s try-line or loses possession of the ball and it goes forward. It’s a scrum is about, with the non-offending team getting the scrum feed.
High Tackle: Tackling the football player above the collar, it’s illegal to tackle round the ears
Playing the Person: Tackling or interfering with someone who isn’t carrying the ball
Shepherding: Interfering with an opponent who is trying to tackle the football player
Failure to Release: Not letting go of the ball when tackled.
Foul play: Play deemed by the referee as being dangerous, obstructive, unfair play or misconduct. The offending player is penalized, possibly sent to the sin bin or even sent off.
Last about the laws rugby :
Rugby with rugby laws, rapidly spread from its elitist origins in England, Scotland, and Ireland. Also the north of England and in Wales and to the British colonies in South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. And also spread to North America, where it was transformed into a new style of football.
