Basic rules of rugby

The sports begins with :
The sport begins with a kickoff which is taken from the middle of the sector. The team with the ball makes every effort to attain a try once the ball is live. A try is scored when a player touches the ball to the bottom within the opponent’s in-goal.
The team is then awarded five points. After a try is scored, the team is given the chance to attain a goal by kicking the shock the opponents cross-bar and in between the goal posts. Scoring a further two points, also referred to as conversion points.
The ball must be kicked from a line perpendicular to where the ball was touched down. If the opposing team commits a penalty at any time, the offended team can attempt a penalty kick for 3 points. Either at the goal or a drop kick at the goal from anywhere within the field of play.
During the sport, players move forward towards their goal, however the ball can’t be passed forward. While moving forward, player must pass the ball backwards to his teammates.
Forward progress of the player carrying the ball could also be impeded by tacking that player. Once a player is tackled, he must immediately pass or released the ball and move faraway from it.

Duration of Match :
The game of rugby union has 2 periods of 40 minutes in each period. For stoppages, the referee will stop the clock in international matches.
Between the 2 halves, there’s a maximum 10-minute interval, after w hich both teams change ends.
The referee’s whistle indicates the beginning and finish of the half.
Overtime will only be played if it is a knockout competition.
Before the beginning of the match, the referee tosses a coin to make a decision which team will begin the match.
The captain of the team that wins the toss gets to make a decision which end he wants to attack first, or whether his side or the opposition will begin .
Rugby sport is started by an area kick or a drop kick from the center of the halfway line.
The ball must travel forwards a minimum of 10 meters from the kick-off. If it doesn’t , the opposition get the selection of a scrum or line-out on the halfway line, with the advantage of the feed or throw.
If a penalty or drop goal is scored during the sport, play is restarted with a drop kick from the halfway line. The team takes the kick who has conceded the points.
