A problem-solution dialogue
The problem is Mei Yun lost baggage. At the flight counter.
Mei-yun has just arrived at Tokyo airport.
Clerk: Good afternoon, can I help you?
Mei: Yes, I can’t find my baggage.
Clerk: How many pieces?
Mei: Just one. That is a large light blue suitcase with wheels.
Clerk: Could I see your claim tag, please? Thank you. You were on Flight 304 from Taiwan, right?
Mei: Yes.
Clerk: Could I have your name?
Mei: Chang Mei Yun.
Clerk: Could you spell that, please?
Mei: C-H-A-N-G-M-E-I-Y-U-N.
Clerk: O.K. Just a moment. And I’ll check on it for you. Well, your baggage seems to have been misplace.
Mei: But it’s got all my clothes in it!
Clerk: I’m terribly sorry. We’ll do our best to get it back to you as soon as possible. Please fill out this claim form with your tag number.
Mei: O.K.
Clerk: Where and how long will you be staying in Tkyo?
Mei: Well, at the Tokyo Hotel, at least for two or three days.
Clerk: We’ll contact you as soon as we find your suitcase and we’ll deliver it to your hotel.
Mei: What happens if you don’t find it?
Clerk: Well, of course, in that case the airline will pay you compensation. But I’m sure we’ll find it soon.
Mei: I hope so, Thank you.
[ 4 hours later. The phone is ringing in the hotel’s room. ]
Clerk Is this Mei Yun, right? We got your suitcase. We’ll sent to you after 1 hour.
Mei: Tank you very much!
