- practice by talking about members of his/her  family.

- learn types of families and discuss which one is better

- find out some arguments about traditional and modern families

Assumptions

Students knew using of present simple tense, there is/are and a few words about family members



Anticipated problem & solution:

Learners may have difficulty in speaking about different types of families. The teacher should give an example about types of families (nuclear family, extended family, childless family…)

Students watch video (funny) about family members.

The teacher shares worksheets and text sample about how to give information about their family and asks students to give information about their family members.

Introduction

Then the teacher shows some pictures (about family types) and gives students cards and asks them to match the cards with pictures.

Teacher shows videos about types of families and gives definitions and examples about them.

Practice 1

Find someone who

Teacher shares worksheets and asks students to stand up and to ask questions to each other and take notes. Then they should tell answers to whole class.

Practice 2

Teacher gives students a sheet of paper and dices. Students should throw the dices and ask the questions from the paper which shows on the dices.



Practice 3

Teacher shares worksheets and divides students to two groups ( A group and B group) and tells students to ask questions to each other and discuss them. Teacher should monitor students.

Debate

Teacher should divide students into two groups. First group should give some arguments about traditional family. Second one should give some arguments about modern family. Teacher should give instruction about that students should give reasons which type of families we can call traditional or modern.
