Goshgar Omarov was born on February 9, 1994 in Shilyan (Garasu) village of 
Kurdamir district in the family of a teacher. 
In 2011, he graduated from Garasu village secondary school with high marks 
and entered the mathematics and informatics faculty of Azerbaijan State 
Pedagogical University with 466 points. 
In 2015, he entered the master's degree at the Azerbaijan University of 
Architecture and Construction, majoring in Information Technologies, but left 
for military service. He received a master's degree in 2016-2018. In 2018, after 
scoring 57 points in the MEC exam, he started teaching as a mathematics 
teacher in Masazır village No. 5 secondary school. 
Military service 
On September 21, 2020, he joined the call of the motherland and entered the 
ranks of the Army. On September 27, he joined the war from the Fuzuli front, 
was selected for his special activity and bravery in the battles, and was included 
in the intelligence unit. He participated in battles for a number of heights. On 
November 4, he was killed in the battles around Dashalti village of 
Shusha.According to the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev 
dated 15.12.2020, Goshgar Omarov was posthumously awarded the "For the 
Fatherland" medal for participating in military operations to ensure the 
territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and honorably fulfilling his duties during the 
execution of the tasks assigned to the military unit.According to the Decree of

was posthumously awarded the medal "For the liberation of Khojavend" for 
participating in the military operations for the liberation of Khojavend region of 
Azerbaijan from occupation.According to the Decree of the President of 
Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 25.12.2020, Goshgar Omarov was posthumously 
awarded the medal "For the Liberation of Fuzuli" for participating in military 
operations for the liberation of Fuzuli region of Azerbaijan from 
occupation.According to the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev 
dated 24.06.2021, Goshgar Omarov was posthumously awarded the medal "For 
the Liberation of Shusha" for participating in military operations for the 
liberation of Shusha region of Azerbaijan from occupation.
