into account the limited number of local tourists, the competition in terms of attracting tourists has 
become more intense. 
It is generally accepted that international travel can be considered risky in terms of health, and 
therefore the number of foreign visitors will not reach the old numbers in the near future, and 
supporting domestic tourism, which is considered somewhat safer for people, can be beneficial for 
all countries. One of the most important variables that makes a difference in the concept of 
holiday is anxiety and restlessness. Because the trauma caused by Covid-19 is still so fresh in 
people's minds and remains unclear, it probably affects people's psychology deeply. Researchers 
dealing with the possible consequences of tourism and how travel behavior will be affected during 
and after the epidemic warn that the process will not go well. 
The article is devoted to the evaluation of the current situation of the tourism sector in Azerbaijan. 
In this part, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the activity of tourism enterprises in our 
republic was analyzed, and the main problems of the tourism sector in the post-pandemic period 
were studied.
