More People Taking Part in Physical Activities
This will be measured via the Derby Plan Survey. Confidence levels however will not be very
high for ward level information but figures will provide an indication of the feeling in
Arboretum. The results for this should be available shortly and will be included in the next
update of the profiles.
Physical Activities
The proportion of year 4 students attending schools within Arboretum and achieving 7 hours
of moderate physical activity a week is below average, compared to the city as a whole.

Sports centre membership
There are 124 members of Derby City Council leisure centres in Arboretum; the eighth
highest of all wards. This is quite low considering both Queen’s and Shaftesbury Leisure
Centres are located in the ward boundary.
