CONCLUSION
The views and approaches to the study of terminological vocabulary considered in the framework of the dissertation research make it possible to interpret terminological vocabulary as part of the general lexico-semantic system of the language. In turn, the lexical system consists of many subsystems. The analysis of such subsystems as terminological vocabulary, common vocabulary, dialect vocabulary, slang vocabulary allows us to conclude that terminological vocabulary is in constant interchange with common vocabulary. The processes of terminology and determinology testify to the close contact of common and terminological vocabulary.

Terminology is the most dynamic and developing subsystem of the language, which forms a relatively autonomous section of the vocabulary. Each terminology has a number of invariant and individual (variable) characteristics. With regard to the corpus of English-language construction terminology, it has been established that the studied terminological system is characterized by a number of variable characteristics, among which a high degree of permeability (correlation of terminology with commonly used vocabulary) should be highlighted. The presence of a significant number of commonly used words in the terminological system under study allows us to speak about its extreme proximity to the colloquial lexical layer and to assume that the boundaries of our terminological system are open in comparison with such terminological systems as mathematical, physical, terminology of the chemical industry, etc.

A variable characteristic of the set of terms is the size (quantitative composition of the terminology), which is determined from a mathematical point of view, which allows us to talk about microterminologies (up to 100 terms), mesoterminologies (100-1000 terms) and macroterminologies (over 1000 terms). ). The construction terminology system has an average of more than 50,000 terminological units, which makes it possible to attribute it to the group of macroterminologies.

In the aspect of structure (types and correlation of structural types of terms), the building term system also has specifics. In the corpus of our terminological system, there are 68% of multi-component terms, including 2 or more components, and 25% of single-component terms, and 7% are abbreviations. Structural analysis also revealed simple ones (46%); derivatives (27%); complex terms (14%); abbreviations (12%) and compound term units (1%). On the basis of derived terms, the most productive suffixes of term formation were identified: -er and -ing, the largest number of terms is formed by means of these morphemes that give nouns. Based on the semantic features of productive suffixes in the terminology of construction, the suffix -er occupies a leading place in the formation of terms with the meaning of construction professions. If we consider the suffix -ing, then this morpheme is characterized by a procedural meaning. That is why in the terminological system under study, the largest number of terminological lexemes have the meaning of construction processes.

The classification of abbreviations made it possible to single out initialisms and truncations in the corpus of construction terminology. In turn, truncations are subdivided into epithesis, syllabic truncation; there is also an elision of initial, middle and final letters.

The semantic feature of the formation of terms is another variable characteristic of construction terminology. To study the semantic structure and semantic features of building terms, their lexical-thematic groups (terminological microfields) were identified and analyzed. Seven thematic blocks were identified: construction materials (24%); construction machines (19%); construction processes (17%); construction tools (15%); building construction (13%); concrete/concrete constructions (7%); construction professions (5%). The study of the semantics of building terms involves conducting its component analysis, which showed that semantically single-core terms predominate in building terminology, and there are also single-core terms with a periphery (48%), single-core terms (25%); dual-core with peripherals (15%); dual-core (6%), single-core with periphery and ancillary area (4%), single-core with an ancillary area (1%) and tri-core (1%) units.
