The eBook is packed full of high-scoring IELTS
essays so is an excellent
resource for studying how to write IELTS essays - from understanding the
types of topics that come up to structuring your essay and presenting your
ideas.
Each essay has tips and advice to help you
understand the approach to
writing it and why it was a good essay. These tips will mainly focus on
aspects related to the IELTS grading system, namely:
Task
Response
Coherence and Cohesion
Lexical Resource
Grammatical
Range and Accuracy
The essays don’t have a band score however they will all range from band
7.5 - 9. The longer ones will be band 9, as these will be representative of
strong writers who are able to present more
ideas and arguments in the
given time of 40 minutes.
Remember though that a long essay does not automatically get a higher
band score as the grading takes account of all the criteria mentioned above -
only write within your ability!
