Устойчивость почвенных агрегатов является решающим свойством, влияющим на
плодородие почвы и продуктивность растений. В статье представлены и подробно
обсуждены процессы и факторы агрегации и ее стабилизация. Структура почвы в
значительной степени влияет на эдафическую обстановку и окружающую среду. Агрегация
является результатом флоккуляции, цементации и реорганизации почвенных частиц. Этот
процесс происходит при участии органического вещества почвы, биоты, ионных связей и
глинистых минералов. Органическое вещество почвы образуется в результате действия
растений, микроорганизмов, почвенной фауны и их выделений. Изменение окружающей
среды и сельскохозяйственная практика могут значительно изменять структуру почвы.
