 From beginning I started feeling something tragic, some feelings 
didn’t live me through reading the book. The final of the book was 
tragically, more than tragically. But I had the light of hope that something 
could be good. But so there was a wish that everything would be good! So 
there was only a wish! 
  One of the famous works of John Steinbeck “Of Mice and Men” in 
which torment people not only poverty, but also lack of kindness and hope, 
dream that some people feel and power of hope and dream that feel two 
friends, in some cases it’s difficult to get hope and dream rather than some 
cents and a shelter over the head. 
   Having become one of platitudes of popular culture, the work "Of 
Mice and Men" however isn't neither the primitive, nor populist novel. The 
success came to John Steinbeck's work because of the lifted problems of a 
social inequality and a hopelessness of provision of the lowest classes, and 
also the declaration of that humanistic values were often forgotten, forced 
out by loneliness of the individual among crowd.  
Being the gloomy drama in a form, "Of Mice and Men" also doesn't 
approve firmness of optimistic features and characters, but addresses to the 
reader with the offer to comprehend such aspects of own life as the attitude 
towards the his or her closest person and need for someone who as good-
nature like Lennie is ready to give you "all of his ketchup". 
  For John Steinbeck the main concept this short story was the 
understanding of the person as the person.  Try to understand his or her inner 
world and decode some characteristic features of human beings.  The writer 
is absolutely convinced that it is necessary to hear and listen and from this 
there is that true human relation which is characterized by kindness and 
empathy. George wasn’t educated one, but he was enough clever man and 
from the point of view of practical usefulness and realization of own 
opportunities, George needed to get rid of the incapacitated partner Lennie as 
soon as possible but instead of this George took care of his friend, even 
realizing that dreams of good life which he inspired Lennie to brighten up 
his sad existence, never can be true maybe can be true. 
   Relations between George and Lennie's aren't idealized at all by John 
Steinbeck, they are we can freely say realistic two man without any relatives 
that found each other for life irony and became close to each other. To 
become such perfect person to Lennie, George passed a difficult way from 
mockeries at Lennie, before understanding that the clodhopper and the 
blunderer is one of the best of marvelous person whom he met during his 
lifetime. This evolution that George succeed was towering over all other 
rational or unreal thinking and at the same time, defines a tragic outcome and

that contrast between oppressive poverty around and metaphysical wealth 
which doesn't give answer to happened actions. 
   This work as we know is written about a true friendship which is too 
hard to find in this cruel world. But the consequences were catastrophic but I 
don’t want to think about this work so pessimistically. In the world happens 
a lot of things some we can predict but some we can’t predict. Time after 
time life shows it’s surprise in different forms in some cases it’s perfect 
surprises that changes our life in some cases it’s catastrophic surprises that 
destroy our life and brings us to the death. In this short work we get a lot of 
information about life and life cruelty the eager of changing that in your 
hand. Battling with life rules, try to go round life problems try to play the 
game with the life but without knowing that life is master player. It’s better 
in some cases to be just spectator but in some cases the player itself.  
This one of the strongest and marvelous works which I have ever read. 
Correctly constructed image of the mentally retarded person, strong, kind, 
but deprived of the nature, can make so that almost any work will punch on a 
tear, but Steinbeck could bring the story out of category of touching stories 
in eternal, deep, philosophical...

РЕЗЮМЕ  
 
Статья  посвящается  новелле  Джона  Стейнбека    “Мыши  и 
Люди”.  Произведение  повествует  о  тяжелой  судьбе  двух  друзей, 
пытающихся  воплотить  в  жизнь  свои  мечты.  Стейнбек    с  большим 
мастерством  описывает  внутреннюю  борьбу  и  душевное  напряжение 
свои персонажей.  
Автор  в  произведении  так  же  коснулся    темы  о  безвыходном 
положении  фермеров  во  время  Великой  Депрессии.  Стейнбек  показал

что в разыгравшейся трагедии целью людей было выжить во что бы то 
ни  стало.  Но  главные  герои  новеллы-два  друга  Джордж  и  Ленни  не 
думают  только  о  том  чтобы  выжить.  У  них  была  мечта  которую  они 
хотели  реализовать.  И  именно  эта  мечта  вдохновила  их  на  борьбу  с 
возникавшими у них на пути трудностями, и давала им силы.  
В  произведении  даны  несколько  психологических  моменты  в 
аспектах человеческих отношений.

“SIÇANLAR VƏ ADAMLAR” FIKIR, MÖVZU, PROBLEM 
 
XÜLASƏ 
 
Məqalə Con Steynbekin “Siçanlar və Adamlar” novellasına həsr 
olunub.  Əsər xəyallarını  həyata keçirməyə çalışan iki dostun çətin 
həyatından bəhz edir. Steynbek insanların tərəddüdlərini, mübarizələrini və 
çəkdiyi ruhi gərginliyi yüksək sənətkarlıqla qələmə alıb.  
Müəllif bu əsəsrdə “Böyük Depresiya” zamanı fermerlərin çıxılmaz 
vəziyyətinə də toxunub. Steynbek göstərib ki, hadisələrin baş verdiyi böhran 
dövründə insanlarin əsas qayəsi sağ qalmaq idi. Amma əsəsrin qəhrəmanları 
olan iki dost Corc və Lenni sadəcə olaraq sağ qalmağı düşünmürdülər. 
Onların həyata keçirmək istədikləri xəyalları var idi. Məhz bu xəyallar da 
qarşılarına çıxan cətinliklərlə mübarizə aparmağa onlara güc verirdi. 
Əsəsrdə bir çox psixoloji vəziyyətlər, insan münasibətləri öz əksini 
tapıb.
