The fight of Zeus with Tiphon

But the fight didn’t finish. The god of land Gaea was angry with Zeus because he had been so severe with her conquered children Titans. She got married to the gloomy Tartarus and gave a birth to a terrible hundred headed monster Tiphon. Huge, with hundred monster’s heads, Tiphon rose from the bowels of the earth. He shook the air with terrible and wild howl. There was a god’s bark, the men’s voices, howl of the furious bull, growl of the lion in this howl. There was a heavy fire around Tiphon and the land shook under his heavy steps. The gods shuddered from the horror.

But Zeus started the fight bravely. Lightnings sparkled again in his hands; the peals of thunders were heard. The earth and sky were shaking with terrible force. The earth flushed up with great and strong bright fair again as it had been during the fight with Titans. Seas boiled from the only approach of Tiphon. Zeus sent hundreds of fair arrow-lightnings. It seemed that the air was blazing from that fair and it seemed that the dark thunder-clouds were blazing too. Zeus turned to askes all hundred Tiphon’s heads. Tiphon fell heavily on the earth; it was a terrible heart from his body that everything was flushing around his body. Zeus rose the body of Tiphon and threw him into the dark Tartarus, who gave birth. But Tiphon still threatened to gods and everybody who was alive. He called storms: he gave birth to the Viper, half a woman, half a snake, a terrible two-headed dog Opho, dog of hell Cerberus Tiphon often shook the Earth.
Olympian gods won their enemies. Nobody else could be against his power. They could now rule on the world without difficulties. The most powerful among them was Zeus, he took a sky for himself, Poseydon became the god of Sea and Hades was a god of the underground Kingdom.
The earth became the owner of everything. Though, the sons of Kron devided the power over the world among themselves, but the main ruler over them was the god of sky Zeus; he was the ruler of people and gods; he was the ruler over the whole world.
