Multitasking habits
Millennials love to get things done. That’s why they’re so
productive. With that in mind, here are some ways to
accomplish multiple health goals in one step.
Moving for your mind 
Exercise has immediate mental
health benefits:
It lowers stress and anxiety immediately. It’s like taking
an aspirin for a headache. Even a 10-minute walk when
you’re feeling really anxious can provide hours of relief.
It improves cognitive function.
 
Exercise has been shown
to improve memory, attention and executive-control
processes (such as the ability to plan and organize, as
well as control emotions).
It can help you sleep better tonight. Quality sleep is an
important contributor to mental health.
In the long term, regular exercise can lower your risk of
depression and anxiety. It can also improve symptoms if you
live with mental illness already. People who get regular
exercise also tend to have better mental processing speed,
memory and decision-making skills.
Even small amounts of regular exercise — as little as 10
minutes three times a week — can lower your risk of heart
disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, many
cancers, dementia, and more. The benefits are there
regardless of body size or shape.


Meditating for your body 
Evidence shows that meditation
can improve symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well
as help with psychological distress and anger or hostility.
But because of the mind-body connection, meditation can
have real effects on physical health too. It’s been shown to:
Improve sleep quality, even among people with
insomnia
Lower blood pressure in people who are at higher risk of
developing high blood pressure
Improve pain and quality of life in people with irritable
bowel syndrome (IBS)
Help some people with chronic pain
