The industrial potential of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan will contribute to the country's 
economy in the coming years. Rich water resources, mineral resources, electricity potential, 
industrial recreation opportunities are the basis of the industrial potential of the liberated 
territories. These factors show that the industrial potential of the liberated territories will 
contribute to the country's economy in the coming years. The liberated territories of Azerbaijan 
have great potential for the development of agriculture. Priority will be given to grain production, 
fodder crops and animal husbandry in the lands freed from occupation. The liberated territories of 
Azerbaijan also have great tourism potential. Various natural monuments, rare plant and animal 
species are widespread in the occupied region. The State Tourism Agency implements a number 
of projects in the liberated territories. The tourism potential of the region as a whole is evaluated, 
tourism products are created. Soon, the settlement of the population in Karabakh will give a 
strong impetus to the development of the agricultural sector, along with the development of other 
areas of the economy. Taking into account that all areas will be rebuilt in this region, a new 
approach to the innovative development of the agricultural sector should be introduced by 
specialists based on the advanced experience of the developed countries of the modern world in 
the field of agricultural sector development. This new approach helps determine the optimal ratio 
of agricultural land, efficient use of forest funds, water resources, changing the gender 
composition of livestock, etc. should be aimed at raising productivity, increasing the volume of 
product output, increasing its specific weight in GDP, ensuring that the population's demand for 
agricultural sector products is met at the expense of domestic production 
The implementation of such a project involves the involvement of experienced specialists in the 
design and construction of technology regions, inviting personnel from world-renowned 
universities to the educational institutions to be created here, the involvement of foreign 
businessmen, investors and specialists with experience in the field of industrial production, and 
special opportunities for businessmen and investors. it may be possible on the basis of creating 
favorable conditions, as well as establishing the necessary institutional environment for territory 
management. 
The article is devoted to the evaluation of the socio-economic development and current potential 
of the Karabakh economic region. The contribution of the liberated territories of the Republic of 
Azerbaijan to the country's economy was studied, the damage caused to the Karabakh economic 
region as a result of the occupation was assessed, including the analysis and evaluation of the 
economic potential of the Karabakh economic region.
