Ecomuseums are a type of museums focused primarily on solving urgent social, economic, and cultural problems of the local community on the basis of its active involvement in the preservation and use of all types of its heritage. They are characterized by a connection with the economic and cultural activities of the local population, the presence of a clearly fixed social mission, a broad understanding of the cultural and natural heritage, which is the entire territory of residence of a given society.
