АССИМИЛЯЦИЯ (уподоб-ление) 1. (диляция). Приспо-собление одних звуков к другим, состоящее в приспособлении рекурсии предшествующего звука к экскурсии последующего; противоп. диссимиляция. Уподобление звуков друг другу, изменение обоих звуков под влиянием друг друга. Уподобление звуков, получившее отражение на письме. Взаимодействие звуков, в результате которого они становятся одинаковыми; противоп. частичная ассимиляция.

АSSIMILATION
1. Adaptation of one sound to another, consisting in adjusting the sound to the previous recursion subsequent excursions;

СЛОГ I 1. Отрезок речи, заключенный между двумя минимальными растворами, характеризующийся увели-чением звучности (громкос-ти) и являющийся естес-твенной единицей сегмен-тации речевого потока. Слог произносится отдельным напором выдыхаемого воз-духа (отдельной пульсацией, вызываемой движением межреберных мышц) и поэтому может рассматри-ваться как своего рода «дуга» произносительного напряжения.
2. Отрезок речи, состоящий только из слогообразующего элемента и сопутствующих ему менее звучных частей.

SYLLABLE
1.The length of the speech, included between the two minimum solutions, characterized by an increase in sonority (volume) and is the natural unit of segmentation of the speech stream. The syllable pronounced certain pressure of exhaled air (a single ripple caused by the movement of the intercostal muscles) and can therefore be considered as a kind of "arc" of pronunciation stress.
2. The length of the speech, consisting of only syllabic elements and accompanying less loud parts.
