The translator skill of the genre of Uzbek poetry consists of taking into account the
philosophical depth,
composition, conventionality and epic character, specific
features of artistic
images, simplicity of language, intonation and style of the work. Each poem by Uzbek poets requires
special solutions from the translator-poet, who finds himself face-to-face with special difficulties.
For comparative comparison, consider the following poetic work
of the national poet of
Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov "Mulokot" [1] (Conversation / Talks) in the original in Uzbek and then
in the translation of Azam Obidov into English:
(Our interlinear: I am not happy, luck does not smile at me, / Mother, I want to (go) to you. /
The departed never return, / Be patient, I say, oh, what can you do. / Why was born into the world, /
With such an unfortunate fate, poor thing? / She herself also survived all her life, / Baby, there was
no way, what can you do. / Why are people evil, / slander each other? / This grief has eaten me up
too, / I can’t know the secret of all this. / In a person believed (trusted) - became humiliated, / You
said, faith is patience. / She also needed faith (trust), / As a result, she found a grave. / There is
nowhere I could turn, / Mother, I want to see you (go)./ Baby, you are probably tired/ Be patient, I
say, oh, what can you do./ If you called me, you would support me,/ Meeting with you will please my
soul./ If you also go on the path of non-existence,/ Who among the living will remember (remember)
me?)
The three-syllable size of the anapaest forms a nine-syllable, where the stressed syllables are
the 3rd, 6th, and 9th, all six quatrains (quatrains) have a masculine cross-rhyme abab. This poem is
