IV  Rewrite in Direct Speech. 
 
When leaving the house mother said she would be back at 
four.  
Father said he would be back at nine as they were having a 
party meeting at work.  
I said I didn’t know when I would come home as there were 
no lessons that day. Then I showed them my report book. 
Mother  said  she  did  not  believe  me  that  there  were  no 
lessons that day. 
I said that if I had been a liar I would not have shown my 
report book to her. 
Mother remarked that she was shocked and surprised by my 
behavior. 
Father said that I was rude, that he would give it hot to me. 
I had to stop. Isn’t it unfair? 
 
 
V  Tell  the  class  what  you  do  at  university  (school),  but  your 
friend does not and why. Use the words given below:
