Provider Cloud Components 
The provider cloud represents the cloud-based analytics solution. It hosts components to prepare data 
for analytics, store data, run analytical systems, and process the results of those systems. Provider cloud 
elements include:

Cognitive analytics discovery and exploration

Data Access and API Management 
The overall purpose of the Data Access component is to express the various capabilities needed to 
interact with the Data Repositories component. The capabilities serve the access needs of data 
scientists, business analytics, developers, and others that need access to valuable data. 
It includes the following types of services:

Data Access:
Capabilities to push and pull data in and out of the data lake 
repositories by the users.
•
Data Virtualization:
Describes any approach to data management that 
allows a user or application to retrieve and manipulate data without 
requiring technical details about the data, such as how it is formatted or 
where it is physically located.
