In the first years of its national independence, Azerbaijan was aided by the European Union. Subsequently, the relationship grew into bilateral and dynamically developing cooperation. In 1996, Azerbaijan signed Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation, with the EU in 2004 and became a member of the European Neighborhood Policy, since 2009 - EU Eastern Partnership initiative. Now the EU-Azerbaijan cooperation covers issues on political dialogue, energy and regional security, economics and trade, transport, environment, education, culture and other fields. Томрис Велиева Динамика развития сотрудничества между Европейским Союзом и Азербайджаном В статье автор исследует динамику развития сотрудничества Азер- байджана с Европейским Союзом. После восстановление независимости Азербайджанской Республикой, отношения между Азербайджанской Ре- спубликой и Европейским Союзом переросли в двустороннее и динамич- но развивающее сотрудничество. Все это исходило из того, что Европей- ский Союз в первые годы государственной независимости Азербайджана оказывал стране различного вида помощь. Азербайджан в 1996 году подписал с Европейским Союзом Соглашение о Партнерстве и Сотруд- ничестве, в 2004 г. стал участником программы Европейской Политики Соседства, а с 2009 г. – Инициативы Восточного Партнерства ЕС.
