Kur’an
Cihad kavramının Kur’an-i bir kavram olduğunu ifade etmiştik, o halde cihad
gerekmektedir. Kur’an ise cihad kavramını bütün ayet-i kerimelerde ‘Allah yolunda’
uzaklaştıracak değildir, cihad kavramını Kur’an nasıl betimliyorsa öyledir, diğerleri
Allah’ın can verdiği bir insanın canına
kıymak, hatta kendi canını bile bir hiç uğruna yok saymak, toplumların düzenini
118

ABSTRACT
İLDEŞ, M. Fatih, “The view of Qur’an of jihad and terror” Master’s Thesis of
Exegesis. Student adviser: Prof. Dr. Şevki SAKA. Ankara, 2008.
The jihad which is one of the basic conceptions of Islam, is for believer to
embark on all kind (with tongue, with goods, with body and with war, if necessary )
of struggles in the path of God, putting forth his all existence. The conception of
jihad has never included mundane or fleshly goals, because of the acts put forth by
ones who misperceive the conception of jihad, the conseption of jihad cannot be said
to have such a meaning. Because, jihad which is a conseption of Qur’an is an
attitude shown against all kind of cruelty, unfairness and inhuman treatments. The
purpose of the conseption of jihad is to try to do muslim's best for, whether he is
faithful or infidel, all humanity to live on humanly. However, the conseption of terror
aims at satisfaction of only mundane and fleshly emotions, contrary to jihad, it is a
conseption that smells blood and has no sublime goal. While Qur’an tells the ones
who get jihad for God a piece of good news and promises them great rewards, it
curses terror and the ones who commit terror crime and promises them the hell.
We stated the conseption of jihad as a Qur’an conseption, then, it is required
to get its essential source to fill in this conseption properly. As for the Qur’an in its
all verses, the conseption of jihad is used with the prepositional phrase of ‘in the
path of God’. This implies that the conseption of jihad is not a work for mundane
goals, on the contrary, it is solely struggle done in the path of God, only for God.
Implementation form in which his commandments and prohibitions are trangressed
of an act that done for the sake of God, to earn his consent is not correct by no
means. The treatments of the ones who misunderstand this conseption or the ones
who fulfill this act by utilizing wrong sources would not put the conseption of jihad
which is a conseption of the Qur’an out of its essential meaning. It is essential how
the Qur’an illustrate the conseption of jihad, others are nothing that people
misunderstand or fill in the conseption of jihad wrong purposely. As for the
120
conseption of terror, this is absolutely expression for human to lose his senses, to fall
into emptiness, to have been gotten captive by the others. To kill one’s life that God
gave, to ignore even his own life, to give people’s hearts the consternation by
violating the order of societies and thus to cause an environment of social chaos
would not be a consequence of an evil action that a believer can suffer in no wise. On
the contrary, a believer is the one who fulfill his responsibility on that all people live
together, happily and peacefully. Here is that jihadist has a role in the society.
However, the ones who commit terror crime are warn by the Qur’an, are cursed for
killing people’s life unfairly and for violating the order of societies and are informed
with the pangs of hell. In short, jihad is the development but terror is the corruption
of earth and humanity; jihad is true but terror is false and the world would be the
stage on struggle with the false of the true by judgment.
