Which day James Murray son of James Murray Blacksmith in Dundee was admitted and received a free Master of the Hammerman Trade as a Blacksmith both he and his representatives and free Apprentices being Burgesses as use is. it being declared that the said James Murray and his aforesaid shall not be at liberty by this present Entry to do any work belonging to the other Arts or Branches of the Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belongs to a & is ordinarily wrought by a Blacksmith allenarly. And the said and the said James Murray having given his Oath of fidelity to the said Trade signs these presents along with the Deacon in presence of the Trade. a Duplicate of this entry written on a Twenty shillings stamp conform to Law had likewise been subscribed by the Deacon. And delivered to the said James Murray.

It being declared that the said Abram Middleton and his aforesaid shall not be at liberty by this present Entry to do any work belonging to the other Arts or Branches of the Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belongs to a & is ordinarily wrought by a Blacksmith allenarly. And the said and the said Abram Middleton having given his Oath of fidelity to the said Trade signs these presents along with the Deacon in presence of the Trade.

It being declared that the said Hugh Munro and his aforesaid shall not be at liberty by this present Entry to do any work belonging to the other Arts or Branches of the Hammerman Trade but are restricted to that sort of work which properly belongs to and is ordinarily wrought by a Blacksmith allenarly. And the said and the said Hugh Munro having given his Oath of fidelity to the said Trade signs these presents along with the Deacon in presence of the Trade. And for instructing that the said Hugh Munro has been admitted a freeman of Burgess of the borough of Dundee he produced to the Trade his Burgess Ticket under the hand of Mr Thomas Davidson Conjunct Clerk of the said Borough dated the fourth day of February last and written on a One Pound stamp as required by Law.

Compeared Charles Dickson lawful son to Charles Dickson lately Goldsmith in Dundie now in Edinburgh and was admitted and received a free Master as Gold Smith in the said Hammerman Trade both he and his representatives and Apprentices after him being Burgesses as use is the said Charles Dickson younger gave his Oath of fidelity to the said Trade in common form and he has subscribed thir presents in face of the Trade place and date forsaid.
