Somantic Noice
/Kirstine Ilum
Somantic Noice/Kirstine Ilum engages in interdisciplinary performing art projects and
focuses on collaborations across borders. With a base in contemporary dance theatre,
Ilum is driven by the urge to tell stories while experimenting with extreme and risk
taking physicality. This makes her work powerful, political, interesting and energizing to
watch. The company is open to collaborations and commissioned work.
Recent works available for tour:
Pause. From acrobatic dance on the walls to more gentle sensitive and theatrical
expressions. A trio work about being so occupied with everything in life that you risk
being late for life itself.
MaMa Duet. Two neighbors, completely separated but only by a thin wall, tell their life
stories simultaneously.
Fobia Studies#1 Solo. Audience interaction study that deals with the political situation in
Europe concerning immigration politics.
Stimulation Overload. 4 performers with audience on all 4 sides. A raw physical dance
theatre performance about surveillance and the abuse of power.

Sousou & Maher Cissoko
“Charismatic duo delivered fantastic stage-presence”…“The warmth from the stage
and the audience contact where extraordinary throughout the night.”/Alexander Agrell,
Sydsvenskan
Expressive singing and rhythmically rocking music define this unique duo. They bring
beautiful West African Mande music with influences from reggae, folk, soul and blues
closer to you.
Maher Cissoko was born to be a kora player in a great griot family in Casamance,
Senegal, that has seen the art of kora playing being passed from generation to generation.
Sousou Cissoko, a singer from Sweden fell in love with the kora at an early age and
travelled to West African to study kora, singing and guitar, and is today one of few female
kora players in the world.
Together they perform both as a duo, trio and full band and since the release of their
debut album Adouna (2008) and the second album Stockholm-Dakar (2011) they have
been touring in Scandinavia, South Korea, Senegal, Mali, Tanzania and South Africa,
performing at festivals like Peace & Love, Gwanju World Music Festival, Sauti Za Busara
and Festival Sur Le Niger.

Stockholm Bach Society
Stockholm Bach Society was formed in 2009 by baroque violinist Katarina Bengtson
Dennis, to perform the music of J S Bach and his contemporaries. The latest addition to
our repertoire is a highly acclaimed version of Henry Purcell’s 17th-century opera Dido
& Aeneas, which we are now able to offer in two different formats.
1. During a weekend, Stockholm Bach Society will invite your choral society and/or
orchestra to participate in our semi-staged performance of Dido & Aeneas. We coach you
in historically informed interpretation, singing and choreography, and provide insights
into the life and music of Purcell.
2. We perform Dido & Aeneas in an intimate chamber format. 10 singers and players
create a painfully beautiful and multilayered opera that will touch everyone who’s ever
doubted love.
Katarina Bengtson Dennis performs regularly throughout Europe, with groups and
conductors such as the Academy of Ancient Music, The Sixteen, Harry Christophers and
Laurence Cummings. Janna Vettergren (Dido) is a mezzo-soprano, choral director and
voice coach and has extensive experience of both early and contemporary opera, working
with conductors such as Olof Boman and Emilio Pomarico.
