What form of the assessment do we usually use? 
Traditionally, summative assessment tests con-
ducted during the course are the most common.
Conclude the discussion by saying that in this session we will look at the assessment in a much broader way 
including formative assessment conducted by teachers, as well as peer and self-assessment.

Activity 3. Beliefs about assessment
Materials: Handout 1
Say: 
“This activity is going to reveal your beliefs 
about assessment”.
Say:
“Complete the chart individually, then in pairs, 
and then discuss your ideas with the whole group”.
Give the participants 5 minutes for an individual 
work, 5 minutes for working in pairs and 10 minutes for 
the whole class discussion.
