NEW APPROACHES TO ASSESSING LANGUAGE SKILLS
Activity 1. TPR warm-up
Materials: none
Read the instructions. The participants should act 
what you are saying. 
1. Stand up!
2. Everybody who is wearing socks, shake your 
head.
3. Push down your socks and pull them up again.
4.­Everybody­who­has­a­belt­on,­stand­on­one­leg.
5. Everybody who has a cardigan/jacket on, sit 
down.
6.­Does­your­cardigan/jacket­have­buttons?­Shout­
“yes“.
7.­Does­your­cardigan/jacket­have­a­zipper­instead?­
Shout “yes“.
8. Roll up your sleeves and roll them down again.
