The article examined the development path of Azerbaijani security forces over the past hundred years. The security bodies examined the period of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan, the Soviet era and the modern era, the activities and principles of the special services. The focus of the study focused on the activities of the security agencies, which are based on the interests of statehood.
