ranked first with 41 post-graduate theses, Social Sciences Institute with
35 post-graduate theses, Science Institute with two postgraduate theses,
and finally 4th ranked with one master's thesis.
The Graduate School of Natural Sciences is ranked third in the list
of postgraduate theses, with nine doctoral and 32 master's theses ranked
first, four doctoral and 31 master's theses with second place and one
doctorate and one master's thesis. At the Informatics Institute, only one
graduate thesis was found within the scope of the research, and no
doctoral dissertation was found. It is seen that there is a numerical
proximity between theses prepared in the Research Institute of
Educational Sciences and Social Sciences. The use of technology in
foreign language teaching is a specific subject; it is evident that the
subject, scope, purpose, and content of education-training processes are
examined. To better understand why there is little difference between the
two institutes, looking at the distribution of theses between the levels of
the university, institute and post-graduate education is thought to be
beneficial for a better understanding of the problem finding.
It has been found that postgraduate thesis studies related to
English language teaching take place at a high level. This can be
explained by the fact that English is the common language of the world
economy, arts, trade and the academic field. Moreover, the fact that the
first foreign language in our country is English again, the other languages
are taught in the main schools as the second foreign language, and the
fact that more studies on the English teaching of the majority of the
English Language and Teaching and English Language Literature
departments in the universities are made.
According to the results; it is seen that the most commonly used
technology in the foreign language teaching process is the information
communication technologies in the first place with 28 licensed studies.
The researches under this heading mainly cover the related literatüre
surveys, the examination of the use of such technologies, the researches
on the attitudes of teachers, prospective teachers, and students against
information communication technologies. Secondly, it is the multimedia
that is used within the scope of 7 postgraduate dissertations, and it is
determined that the effect on foreign language teaching is measured.
When the methods of research on the use of technology in foreign
language teaching are considered, 37 first degree thesis studies are
compared with mixed research method, second is with 27 quantitative
research methods of graduate thesis, 17 third is qualitative research
methods of graduate thesis study and finally 2 second thesis research is
software development method. In this research, the methods and
techniques covered by quantitative and qualitative research approaches
are not clearly and expressed in the majority of the post-graduate studies.
Surveys are described as "this research is a qualitative research or
quantitative research." Several studies have shown that the researches
conducted are qualitative research and in these studies, for example,
qualitative research methods used document analysis or action research.
For this reason, the methods of the undergraduate thesis are covered
within the scope of general research methods. In the direction of this
