Results and suggestions
Examination of post-graduate thesis related to the use of
technology in foreign language teaching has reached to 14 doctoral and
65 master's thesis which was made within the determined period within
the scope of the research. According to the survey data, it was determined
that the most graduate thesis, two doctoral and 19 graduate thesis were
prepared in 2014. With 1 doctorate and 17 master's thesis in 2015, 5
doctorate and 7 master's thesis in 2012, 1 doctorate and 8 master's thesis
in 2010, 3 doctorate and 5 master's thesis with 2016, 1 doctorate and 5
master's thesis graduate thesis is followed by 2011 with the year of 2013
and finally with 1 doctorate and 4 graduate thesis. Accordingly, most of
the postgraduate dissertations are prepared in 2014, at least in 2011.
When the distribution of the thesis according to the level of the graduate
education is examined, the most graduate thesis was prepared in 2014,
and the most thesis in doctorate level is prepared in 2012. When the
distribution of the thesis researchers according to gender was examined,
38 male and 41 female researchers were identified. Postgraduate theses
on using technology in foreign language teaching have been prepared
with 4 PhDs and eight master's thesis "Gazi University." This is followed
by "Middle East Technical University" with three doctoral and seven
graduate thesis. It can be said that studies conducted in this area were
mostly conducted in these two universities. Four institutes were
identified when examining the undergraduate theses examined in the
scope of the research according to the institutes they prepared. This
institution; Educational Sciences, Informatics, Science and Social
Sciences Institutes. The most postgraduate dissertation was prepared by
Gazi University Educational Sciences Institute. In the Middle East
Technical University, which constituted the second largest majority, this
situation changed and spread to three different institutes. In this context,
two doctoral and six graduate thesis is prepared in the Institute of Social
Sciences, one doctorate thesis in the Institute of Science and one master's
thesis in the Informatics Institute.
It seems that mixed research model has been used extensively in
postgraduate dissertations related to technology supported foreign
language teaching. This is followed by quantitative research and the third
by qualitative research methods. In examining the research methods of
the theses, many studies have found the intensive use of mixed,
qualitative and quantitative research methods. Under these approaches,
