güman  etmək  olar.  Bunu  paya  yerlərinin  dibində

bişmiş kərpic fraqmentlərinin varlığı da təsdiq edir.

Paya yerlərinin aşkar edilmiş evin ölçüsündən daha

çox  məsafəni  əhatə  etməsi  onların  həmin  evlə  heç

bir  əlaqəsi  olmadığını  göstərir.  Ehtimal  ki,  paya

yerləri cənub istiqamətdə digər bir tikiliyə məxsus

olmuşdur  ki,  həmin  hissə  qazılmayan  sahəyə  dü-

şür.  Bunun  gələcəkdə  birinci  kvadratdan  cənuba

doğru  qazıntı  sahəsinin  genişləndirilməsi  zamanı

dəqiqləşəcəyi  güman  olunur.  Eyni  istiqamətdə  da-

vam edən paya yerlərinin ardıcıllığı ikinci kvadratda

izlənilməkdədir.

1-ci  kvadratın  müxtəlif  yerlərində  quyular,

təndirlər  aşkar  olunmuşdur.  Kvadratın  şimal-qərb

hissəsində təndiri dağıtmış, içərisi bişmiş kərpiclərlə

dolu  olan  oval  formada  dağıntı  vardır.  Bu  dağıntı-

nın yarısı qazılmayan istiqamətdə davam etdiyindən

onun içərisinin təmizlənməsi 60 sm dərinlikdə sax-

lanılmışdır. Ona görə də bunun oval formada quyu

və  ya  dağıntı  olması  barədə  qəti  fikir  söyləmək

mümkün deyil. Lakin bu şərti olaraq quyu N1 kimi

qeydə alındı. Buradan aşkar edilən bişmiş kərpiclər

24.5x24.5x5.5  və  23x23x5.5  sm  ölçülərindədir.

Həmin  hissədən  şərqdə  şimal  profilinin  dibində

diametri 80 sm olan quyu da qeydə alındı. 2 say-

lı  (N2)  quyunun  da  yarısı  şimal  istiqamətə  qazıl-

mayan  torpaq  altına  keçdiyindən  78  sm  dərinlikdə

yarımçıq saxlanılmışdır. Quyu yer səthindən 60 sm

dərinlikdən başlayır.

Aşkar  olunmuş  materiallara  əsasən  qeyd  edilən

evi  və  tapıntıları  VIII  əsrin  sonları  və  IX  əsrə  aid

etmək  olar.  Kvadratın  şimal-şərq  küncündən  üzü

qibləyə istiqamətlənmiş qəbir də aşkar olunmuşdur

ki, bu ərazidə yaşayışın tərk olunmasından sonrakı

dövrlərə aid edilir.

Bu kvadratda Antik dövr saxsı nümunələrinə də

təsadüf olunmuşdur ki (tablo I, 1-2), bu da alt qatda

Son Antik dövr təbəqəsinin varlığından xəbər verir.

1-ci kvadratda quyular, təndirlər və ocaq yerlərinin

sıralanması və yerləşməsi aşağıdakı kimidir:

ed by baked bricks. The fragments of baked bricks

found at the bottom of the pile holes prove this. The

pile holes have no connection with the house detect-

ed, because they cover a greater area than the house.

The pile holes probably belong to another building in

the southern direction which is located in the unex-

cavated area. It is supposed that this will be revealed

during the enlargement of the excavation area from

the first square southwards. The pile holes continue in

the same direction in the second square.

Pits and tandoors were found in different parts of

the first square. There is an elliptical destroyed area

within a lot of the baked bricks and tandoors in the

north-west part of the square. Half of the rubble per-

tains to the unexcavated area and, therefore, the clean-

ing was stopped at a depth of 60 cm. It is hard to say if

it is an elliptical well or not. However, it was recorded

as well No.1. The baked bricks detected there meas-

ure 24.5x24.5x5.5 cm and 23x23x5.5 cm. At the bot-

tom of the north profile, a well with a diametre of 80

cm east of the same place was detected. As half of the

well (No.2) area belongs to the unexcavated area in

the northern direction, the investigation was stopped

at a depth of 78 cm. The well starts from a depth of 60

cm from the surface.

According to the objects found, it is possible to say

that the house and the other finds belong to the end of

the 8th and 9th centuries. A grave oriented towards

Mecca (the direction to which a Muslim turns when

praying) was detected at the north-eastern edge of the

square. The grave belongs to the period after settle-

ment in this area ended.

Also, pottery belonging to the Antique Period was

found  (table  I,  1-2)  in  this  square  and  this  informs

us of the existence of an Antique Period layer in the

lower parts.

The  location  and  sequence  of  the  pits,  tandoors

and fire places in the first square are as follows:

Pit No.1 - north-western part, half part belongs to

the northern profile;

Pit No.2 - eastern direction from well No.1, half

part belongs to the northern profile;

ii kvadrat

Bu  kvadrat  1-ci  kvadratın  qərbində  yerləşir.

Kvadratın  şərq  və  cənub-şərq  hissələrini  yer

səthindən 0.25-0.50 m dərinliyə qədər xeyli miqdar-

da şirsiz və şirli saxsı fraqmentləri və qarışıq-küllü

torpaq  qatı  təşkil  edir.  Əsas  tikinti  qalıqları  kvad-

ratın  mərkəzi  hissələrini  əhatə  edir.  Burada  şimal-

cənub  istiqamətdə  5.8  m  uzunluqda  və  0.4-0.5  m

enində divar və şimaldan həmin divara çarpaz olan

5.9 m uzunluqda, 0.6-0.8 m enində divar qalığı aş-

room of the house made of raw bricks.

square ii

This  square  is  located  in  the  western  part  of  the

first square. In the eastern and south-eastern parts of

the square consist glazed and unglazed dish fragments

and  ash-mixed  soil  at  a  depth  of  0.25-0.50  m  from

the surface. The main building remains are situated at

the center of the square. The remains of a wall (5.8

m long, 0.4-0.5 m wide) running in a north-south di-

rection were detected in this area, and the remains of

another wall were detected crossing that wall from the
