WORK “AZERBAIJANI GIRL”
Summary
The article deals with the qualities of the famous play “Tatarka” by
Eynalibey Sultanov’s pen. He was one of the most prominent figures and talented
representatives of the Nakhchivan literary environment, and held his own rank in the
Azerbaijan culture and literature history of the XX century beginnings; his works
draw attention primarily for their many-sidedness. In fact, in this work is reflected
Eynalibey’s desire to see a Muslim woman such contemporary, right-aware, open-
minded, intelligent, strong-willed and active as women in Europe. The comedy
“Tatarka” written on the topic of women’s rights in the 80s of the XIX century, of
course, was an unprecedented bold work in its time.
