are not alone/ The sad
truth is 99% of you read-
ing this, answered yes to
more than one of the

have certainly not turned out the
way most of us would have hoped/ I
can tell you, I have certainly been
worried about all of it/
When I first entered dentistry I was
full of hope and ideals/ My practice
was going to be the best! The nicest
building, the best equipment, and a
practice full of gracious fee for ser-
vice patients/ I was going to work 4
days a week and take 6 weeks of
vacation/ On top of that I would
have enough free time each day to
spend with my wife and children/ I
certainly started out that way but
when I ran out of working capital
things took a drastic change/ I can
still remember the first time I had to
tell ADP that I was not going to take
a paycheck this period/ Luckily I can
also remember the last time that

You see about three years ago, I was
in a dire situation/ Creditors called

such a feeling of excitement and

I closed my practice for a week and
