Research process 
Confirm the research purpose and direction is the initial step of research 
processing. Of course that the topic choosing, what I want to investigate, and direction 
for researching, all of those I have to discuss with my advisor as well as invite him 
reviews the outline before I start to write the paper. In literature review part, I apply 
Hofstede’s study for 
deeply understanding Vietnamese culture, in specially to

appreciate Vietnamese culture within workplace. Additionally, the secondary sources 
such as books, research papers, and journal, etc., are necessary to this part which 
valuable supporting to the ideas and research process. After fulfill the literature review 
part, I come up with the interview questions and carry out the in-depth interview. 
Follow step is collecting data and sort out the necessary data and then make an analysis 
and discussion. Finally, I summed up the conclusion and suggestion for last part.

Chapter 2: Literature Review 
2.1 Vietnam Overview
Vietnam is located in the Indochinese Peninsula, coastal of the Pacific Ocean. 
The land bordering is 4,639 km long. On the map, Vietnam has the mainland striped 
with S-shaped, extending from latitude 23

North, length 1,650 km 
from north to south, the largest part on mainland area about 500 km; the narrowest 
place is nearly 50 km. 
Vietnam is bordered by China to the north, Laos and Cambodia 
to the west, South China Sea to the east and Thailand Bay to the south.
The capital of Vietnam in Hanoi City, and Ho Chi Minh City is seen as largest 
city in Vietnam. According to statistics, the population is estimated 94, 6 million 
inhabitants in 2018, in which male makes up 46,751.8 thousand people and female 
takes about 47,908 thousand people. The residential is mainly concentrated in two 
largest cities in Vietnam, which are, Hanoi City and Ho Chi Minh City.
