Warm-up. (15 min.)
Objectives: to lead-in to the topic and to raise students’ interest to it.
Materials: board, marker
Procedure:

• 
  Write past time grammar rule on the board. Have the learners information one by one: How do we use the tense in forms?
  

• 
  Allow them to share and give their answers. The students may give many different rules to use them.
  
• 
  Then ask them to inform about using past time in Academic English language’. It is a sort of brainstorming. Write the verbs on the board.
