SİNOPLU SAFÂYÎ’NİN FETİHNÂMESİ

Öz 
Divan edebiyatı, 13. yüzyıldan 19. yüzyıla Osmanlı toplumunun zevki, duyuş ve düşünüşü, yaşam 
tarzı, gelenek ve görenekleri ekseninde manzum-mensur birçok eser verilmiş; altı yüzyıllık ma-
ziye sahip geniş ve zengin bir dönemi ifade etmektedir. Sosyal ve kültürel hayatın farklı yönle-
riyle edebiyata yansıması, konu çeşitliliğini beraberinde getirmiş ve birçok edebî türün doğmasına 
zemin hazırlamıştır. Bu edebî türlerden biri de fetihnâmelerdir. Fetihnâmeler, bir yerin fethiyle 
ilgili bilgi veren edebî eserlerdir. Fetihlerle ilgili ayrıntılara yer vermeleri bakımından edebî ol-
duğu kadar tarihî ve coğrafî önem de taşımaktadırlar. Bu türün bir örneği olan Fetihnâme-i İne-
bahtı ve Moton, İkinci Bâyezîd dönemi şairlerinden Sinoplu Safâyî‟nin manzum olarak mesnevî 
nazım şekliyle kaleme aldığı bir eserdir. Eserin bilinen tek nüshası, Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kü-
tüphanesi Revan 1271‟de kayıtlıdır. Denizci bir şair olan Safâyî, İkinci Bâyezîd döneminde ya-
şanan İnebahtı ve Moton savaşlarına bizzat katılmış ve eserinde müşâhedelerini aktarmıştır. Fe-
tihnâmeler, barındırdıkları bilgiler ile zaman zaman yazıldıkları döneme ait sosyal ve tarihî olay-
lara  ışık  tutmaktadırlar.  Fetihlerle  ilgili  ayrıntıların  bizzat  fetihlere  katılmış  bir  şair  tarafından 
aktarılmış olması bu tür eserleri önemli kılmaktadır. Bu bildiride Sinoplu Safâyî‟nin hayatı, eser-
leri ve edebî kişiliğine kısaca değinilecek; ardından yukarıda bahsi geçen fetihnâmesi hakkında 
bilgilere ve değerlendirmelere yer verilecektir.

Safayi of Sinop’s Fetihname 
 
 
Abstract 
Classical Ottoman literature gave lots of masterpieces about Ottoman society‟s thinking, feelings 
and pleasure throughout the 13th century to 19th century, expressing the wide and wealthy era of 
six hundred years. The social and cultural life affected the literature and brings the diversity to-
gether and led to form many literary genre. One of the literary genre is fetihnames. Fetihnames 
are literary works which give information about the conquest of a place. Fetihnames are signifi-
cant in terms of historical, geographical and literary value. One such example is Fetihname-i İne-
bahtı and Moton which took place in the Second Bayezid period, the work of Safayi from Sinop 
written in the so called mesnevi style. The only copy of the work is registered in Topkapı Palace‟s 
Museum of Library, Revan 1271. A sailor poet Safayi who lived during Second Bayezid period, 
personally joined İnebahtı and Moton wars and transfered his observations. Fetihnames, shed light 
to the terms social and historical events by holding the information and the time they had been 
written. The details about the conquers makes these literary works more important as they were 
written by the conquerer poet himself. In this notice; the life, literary works and literal personality 
of  Safayi‟s  from  Sinop  will  be  briefly  mentioned  and  then  there  will  be  informations  and  the 
evaluation of fetihname that was mentioned above.

Öz 
Bozcaadalı Hüseyin Paşa XIX. yüzyıl Osmanlı donanmasının önemli şahsiyetlerindendir. Bahr-ı 
Sefid’te yürüttüğü, taltif edilerek tamamladığı bir dizi görevle ön plana çıkmıştır. Nizamiye Fır-
kateyni ile Karadeniz filosunda görevlendirilmiştir. Osmanlı tarihinin kırılma noktalarından sayı-
lan ve donanmanın ağır yara aldığı Sinop Vakâsı'nda şehit düşmüş, Sinop'ta defnedilmiştir. Do-
nanmaya verdiği hizmetle kalmamış, bahriyeli olmayı aile geleneğine dönüştürmüştür.   II. Ab-
dülhamid döneminin ünlü Bahriye Nazırı Hasan Hüsnü Paşa onun oğludur. Bildiri, hakkında ay-
rıntılı bir çalışma  mevcut olmayan Bozcaadalı Hüseyin Paşa’nın tanıtılmasını amaçlamaktadır.  
Paşanın şahsı, memuriyeti ve ailesiyle ilgili tespit edilebilen arşiv belgeleri ve diğer kaynaklardan 
elde edilen bilgiler toplanarak hakkında biyografik bir çalışma ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır.

Bozcaadali Husain Pasha 
 
Absract 
Bozcaadalı Husain Pasha is one of the most distinguished
 
personalities of the Ottoman navy in 
the
 
19th
 
century.
 
He
 
became
 
well-known
 
for
 
a number of duities which he successfully carried out 
in the Mediterranian Sea and for which he was later awarded. He was joined the Black Sea Fleet 
with  his Nizamiye Figate. He  was martyred in the battle  of Sinope, during which a great harm 
was given to the navy and which was viewed as as a breaking point in the Ottoman history and 
burried  in the province  of Sinope. Husain Pasha not only served as a minister fort he navy but 
also managed to transform the job of being a sailor into a tradition for his family. He was the son 
of Hasan Husnu Pasha, a prominent minister in the period of Abdulhamid II. The study aims to 
introduce Bozcaadalı Husaın Pasha, on whom any study has yet to be contucted. This is a biog-
raphical
 
study
 
which
 
is
 
based on the archive documents and the information obtained from other 
sources concerned with the personality of Husaın Pasha, his service in the state and his family.
