At The English Lesson
You know that our lessons usually begin at 9. At about 9
o’clock in the morning all the students of our group come into the
classroom to take their seats at the tables and wait for the teacher.
When the teacher comes in, we stand up and the monitor
reports to her. Then we sit down and get down to our work.
At our English lessons the teacher usually asks us some
questions. We know many words and expressions now, and we
try to answer our teacher’s questions well. Of course, we make
mistakes sometimes, and the teacher corrects them. We like to
speak English at our lessons.
Then we take our
textbooks to read the
text. Our teacher often
asks: “Who wants to
read the text today?”
Some of the students
answer him: “I do”.
Then we open the
textbooks and one of
the students stands up

to read the text. The other students listen to him. But we don’t
read the text long. We ask different questions about the text and
retell it. We also repeat the words and write them on the
blackboard.
We don’t want to make any mistakes and we always learn all
the new words and expressions well. We work hard at our English
to know it well. We seldom answer badly at the lessons.
Sometimes we write tests. When we write them, we close our
textbooks and note-books. We never get bad marks for our tests.
