encouraging to see that there were a few articles written by our rural CSOs regarding their
partnership with local businesses. Detailed information about
the articles can be found on

During the conference rural CSOs had an opportunity to tell about their activities and attract the
attention of business representatives. Thus, the head of the Public Association for disabled people
"Bolashak" from Tselinograd rayon Akmola oblast told about their project aimed at training
disabled people on computer literacy and then was suggested by Samruk-Kazyna LLP
representatives to participate in their program and receive funds in the amount of 700 000 to 2 000
000 KZT for the work with disabled children.
However, as it is typical for all CSO events held on the national level, the conference was carried
out in Russian language that made Kazakh speaking participants feel a bit excluded from the
process. And this definitely is another challenge for our Program how to make the voices of rural
CSOs acting in southern Kazakh speaking communities heard and on the other hand how to
increase the access to information, the problem that comes from the aforementioned issue as well.
