The mains voltage must be in compliance with the voltage specification (V~) on the type
plate of the charger!
Ensure that the charger, charging plug and mains plug are in proper working condition
before each use.
Replace a defective charger immediately. Use the battery only with the original charger.
Protect the charger and battery against heat and humidity exposure.
Do not immerse the charger or battery in fluid.
Operate the device only with corresponding original batteries.
Use the charger only to charge the original batteries.
Keep the charger and battery sealed.
Never operate the charger on a flammable surface.
Never perform charging near easily inflammable substances.
The device may not be filled if the charger is still connected.
The device must be upright during the charging process.
Charging is not permitted outdoors.
Protect the battery against heat, permanent sunlight and fire exposure. Store the bat-
tery only at a temperature range between 0 °C to max. +45 °C. Never place the battery
on a radiator.
Never bypass the battery with metallic or other electrically conducting parts.
Never expose the battery to extreme conditions, such as heat and impact. Risk of injury
from corrosive fluids! If battery acid gets in contact with skin or eyes, rinse the affected
area thoroughly with water and consult a doctor. Ensure adequate fresh air and consult a
doctor if you experience irritation of respiratory tracts, skin or eyes.

Scope of supply
This chapter contains information about the delivery condition.
3.1 Delivery condition

Charging the battery and assembling the device
6.1 Charging the battery

NOTE!
The mains voltage must be in compliance with the voltage specification (V~) on the
type plate of the charger.
Only use the battery charger provided. The battery charger may only be used
in dry rooms.
The battery must be charged before the first start-up. The battery charging time is
approx. 8 hours during the first 3 charging cycles. All further charges require a charging
time of ca. 3 - 4 hours. The green LED lights up on the charger to signal the end of the
charging time.
The charger and battery can heat up during charging. This is normal and not a sign of a
technical defect.
The supplied lead-gel battery can be charged at any time,
regardless of charge status. Complete discharge of the battery must be avoided as
this can damage the battery. Premature interruption of charging does not cause dam-
age to the battery.
